Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Journosa LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of Journosa (the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Journosa is an AI-assisted travel planning platform that helps you research destinations, generate itineraries, and book travel-related products and services — including flights, hotels, activities and tours, dining reservations, events, car rentals, ground transportation, travel insurance, and parking (each, a “Travel Product,” and collectively, “Travel Products”) — from third-party vendors (“Vendors”) through a single checkout flow. Journosa also offers an optional paid subscription tier (“Premium”) described in Section 6.
2. Our Role: Marketplace, Not the Vendor
Journosa is a booking marketplace and agent, not the provider of Travel Products. When you book a Travel Product through the Service, you are entering into a separate contract directly with the applicable Vendor (for example, an airline, hotel, tour operator, restaurant, ticketing platform, car rental company, ground transportation provider, insurance underwriter, or parking operator). Journosa facilitates the search, curation, and single-checkout booking of that Travel Product and earns a commission or transaction fee from the Vendor (except for dining reservations, for which we do not currently earn a commission).
Each Vendor’s own terms of service, fare rules, cancellation policy, and privacy policy apply to the Travel Product you book from them, in addition to these Terms. Where this Section conflicts with a Vendor’s own terms for a specific booking, the Vendor’s terms control the performance of that specific Travel Product. We encourage you to review each Vendor’s terms before completing a booking.
We are not responsible for a Vendor’s acts or omissions, including flight delays or cancellations, overbooking, property conditions, service quality, or a Vendor’s insolvency. Your remedies for issues with a specific Travel Product are generally against the Vendor, though we will assist in good faith with coordinating changes, cancellations, and refund requests where reasonably possible.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to create an account and make bookings.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated, since inaccurate information (such as legal name or date of birth) may prevent Vendors from honoring a booking.
- You may invite collaborators to a trip; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share trip and budget details with anyone you invite.
4. Bookings, Pricing, and Payment
4.1 Booking Process
When you complete a checkout, you authorize us to submit your booking request to each applicable Vendor included in that checkout. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation for each Travel Product; in a multi-vendor bundle, it is possible for some items to confirm and others to fail, in which case we will notify you and assist with resolving the affected item(s).
4.2 Pricing
Prices displayed for Travel Products are set by the applicable Vendor and may include taxes, resort fees, or other charges disclosed at checkout. Prices, availability, and fare rules can change until a booking is confirmed. We are not liable for pricing or availability errors displayed by a Vendor’s API, though we will correct known errors promptly and, where a Vendor will not honor an erroneous price, refund any amount you were charged for the affected item.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge that payment method for the Travel Products and any Premium subscription you purchase. We do not store your full card number; card data is handled directly by our payment processor.
4.4 Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility for a Travel Product is governed by the applicable Vendor’s own policy, which is disclosed at or before checkout for that item. Some bookings (for example, certain flights, events, and non-refundable hotel rates) may be non-cancellable or non-refundable. Where a Vendor issues a refund, we will process it back to your original payment method through our payment processor; where a Vendor charges a cancellation fee, that fee will be deducted before any refund is issued.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
Journosa uses AI (including Google Vertex AI / Gemini models) to generate itinerary suggestions, respond to conversational trip-planning input, and surface recommendations. AI-generated content is provided for planning convenience and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect current Vendor availability or pricing. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming any AI-generated itinerary or recommendation before relying on it or completing a booking based on it.
7. User Content
You may submit reviews, ratings, itinerary notes, accessibility preferences, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service (for example, displaying your public review of a Vendor to other users).
You agree not to submit User Content that is false, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or otherwise unlawful. We may review, moderate, and remove User Content that violates these Terms, our content guidelines, or applicable law.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any Vendor’s terms;
- Attempt to circumvent booking, pricing, or Premium-gating mechanisms;
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal browser use;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use the Service to make fraudulent bookings or engage in chargeback abuse.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the “Journosa” name and logo, is owned by Journosa LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the Service as intended, we do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service integrates with and links to third-party Vendors, payment processors, authentication providers, and other services that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service.
12. Disclaimers
The Service and any AI-generated content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated recommendations will be accurate or suitable for your trip.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journosa LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any Travel Product booked through it. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us (excluding amounts passed through to Vendors) in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Journosa LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any Vendor’s terms in connection with a booking you made through the Service.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or created risk or legal exposure for us or other users. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 17) will survive.
16. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue features of the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (such as posting an updated “Effective Date” or emailing registered users). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
Venue. Subject to the paragraph above, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Placeholder: counsel should confirm whether an arbitration clause and class-action waiver are appropriate for this business model and consumer base before launch.
18. Miscellaneous
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
- Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
